Frequently Asked Questions
Our dog cabins are not designed to be used outside with no cover, as they are not fully waterproof. They are ideally suited to be used within an outbuilding or inside one of our covered dog runs. The wooden version of our dog cabins can be treated with preservatives which will make it weather-resistant, and the wipe clean version is water-resistant.
We make two styles of dog cabins, one professionally made of wood, which can be treated or untreated. We recommend always treating wood to extend its life. The other style is black phenolic coated anti chew, which is water-resistant and easy to wipe down.
Many of our customers use their dog cabins within their dog runs to give their dogs a safe and secure place to sleep. They can always be used in outbuildings, or in large utility rooms to provide a comfortable place for your dogs to sleep. They are not designed to be used as a permanent standalone outdoor dog kennel.
We offer a range of sizes, so that you can choose the best one for your dog. The largest size we offer is 1.56m x 1.05m x 0.90m which will give a large breed dog a good-sized dog cabin.
The smallest dog cabins we offer are the Wipe Clean dog cabin in 1.30m x 0.86m x 0.75m or the classic wooden dog cabin in 1.06m x 0.88m x 0.64m, which will provide a nice space for your smaller dog breeds.
