Frequently Asked Sliding Hatches
Our sliding hatch is 1.84 metres high, the opening is 0.5 metres wide and 0.91 metres high. This is designed to be compatible with our other products such as our dog run panels and complete kennels. This allows you to put your sliding hatch between the internal and external areas so that you can control whether your dog goes in or out. This can be extremely useful if you wish to clean an area out, without your dogs helping you!
Our sliding hatch is made from high-quality, heavy-duty galvanised steel. This means that it is durable, hard-wearing, and weatherproof. Our sliding hatches are designed to be dog-proof so that they can only be opened by humans! This gives you the decision of allowing your dog complete freedom to roam from their internal kennel to their external run, or to keep them in one area, perhaps during certain times of the day. The sliding hatch comes with a pulley system so that it is easy to use.
All our products are designed to be easy to install. If you are unsure about how to install a sliding hatch or any other item in our range, our helpful and friendly team is always available to give advice. It can often be helpful to have another pair of hands to help install a sliding hatch, so, if possible, ask a friend along to help you.
Our hatches are made of galvanised steel, and as such come in a standard silver/grey colour. However, if you require particular colours to go with your kennel logo or existing structures then please speak to us. We can provide bespoke services to our customers, and will always do our best to help you. It is possible to paint galvanised steel, but if you choose to do this you must use the correct type of paint and follow the manufacturer's instructions regarding application.
